TIES – 3rd Workshop: “IRO Models”

30-31 May 2011

Date: 30-31 May 2011

Venue: Vincci Taj Sultan Hotel, Hammamet, Tunisia

Organiser: Sfax University

Description of the activity:

The third workshop International Relations Offices Models is intended to provide examples of different models of IROs as starting points for discussion. The European and MEDA partners have all very different structures and are all good examples of functioning successful IROs. Their models will be presented and their logistics explained. The workshop will have three working sessions, and a space of discussion will follow on what these models can offer, and how they could be adapted to the regional and local context. The workshop is including the suggestions provided by the partners after the last event in Amman.

Main objectives of the workshop:

Demonstrate different working models of IRO;

Promote debate on which of these can be considered as the “best” model for the MEDA region;

Provide the opportunity for Partner Country institutions to examine these different models in depth;

Share examples of IRO models and functionalities worthy of note in the Partner Country institutions.
