TIES partner hosts international conference in higher education
TIES partner Modern University for Business and Science (MUBS) has recently organised and hosted the second Higher Education International Conference (HEIC), on May 4 th and 5 th 2010, in Beirut, Lebanon.
According to MUBS website, the two-day sessions were only part of more than 30 working papers and research reports published in the HEIC proceedings. The publication is to be the spring board for MUBS to discuss and implement the conference recommendations at a later stage. Participants included experts from Slovenia, Germany, Algeria, Egypt, Sudan, Syria, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi-Arabia, UAE and Iran representing their universities and higher education institutions at this important event
The sessions concluded on May 5, 2010 in an official ceremony held at Phoenicia Intercontinental Hotel where 3 honorary medals were awarded to H.E Mrs. Bahia Hariri, Head of the Education Committee, Dr. Saleh Hashem, Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities, and Professor Joseph Mifsud, President of the Euro-Mediterranean University.
HEIC is an international conference dedicated to addressing emerging topics and challenges in higher education. The second edition of the event has been as successful as its first, and the event has mobilised the participation of the most important authorities in higher education in Lebanon.
